Backups & Data Export¶
Your school's data is managed by your sERP licensee and backed up automatically. This page explains what is backed up, how to export your own data from within the application, and what happens to your data if you end your subscription.
Automated Backups¶
For all managed deployments (hosted by Darrel Technologies Ltd or an authorised country licensee), daily automated backups are taken and retained for 30 days. Contact your licensee to request a backup restore.
In-Application Data Export¶
sERP provides export functions within the application for common data sets. No technical knowledge is required — simply navigate to the relevant section and use the export button.

Full Data Export on Cancellation¶
On subscription cancellation, you are entitled to a full export of your school's data:
- Contact your licensee in writing requesting a data export
- The export is provided within 7 business days
- Data is retained for 30 days after the subscription end date, then securely deleted
Disaster Recovery¶
If you experience data loss or a system issue:
- Contact your licensee with a description of the problem
- Provide the last known date when the system was working correctly
- The support team will restore from the nearest clean backup
Ask your licensee for details on recovery time and service level commitments.
